Wife Sets Husband's House Ablaze, Over Intention To Bring In a New Wife.

A woman simply identified as Aisha, in Kebbi State is in police net for allegedly setting her husband's house on fire, barely one year into their marriage.

According to sources close to the couple, Yenusa, who was previously married lost his wife in 2015, he met and married Aisha in 2017 after few months of courting, Yenusa, unsatisfied with his marriage discussed his intention to bring in a second wife with Aisha.

It was customary that he asked for permission from Aisha before bringing in a new wife, a request Aisha vehemently opposed to, complaining it was too early for Yenusa to take a second wife.

Despite his wife's opposition, Yenusa continued making arrangements to tie the knot with his new bride.

As narrated by friends of the couple, on Tuesday 6, Aisha waited for her husband to leave for work, after which she doused the house with gasoline, setting it on fire.
