Having a baby is a thing of Joy, but when a 14-year-old, who is supposed to be in school gives birth, often times it's a thing of shame, it becomes more disturbing, when her biological father is responsible for the pregnancy.
A teenager has been forced into maturity by her 40-year-old father, Dominic Johnson, after defiling her multiple times, resulting in pregnancy and birth.
The incident, as reported by Pm express, occurred at Onitire Avenue, Abaranje suburb of Ikotun, Lagos State.
Johnson who lost his wife few years ago, lives with his three daughters, he is said to have been sleeping with one of his daughters, warning her not to tell any person of the taboo he was committing.
He continued, till his daughter became pregnant and subsequently gave birth to a baby girl.
When queried by her aunt, the teenager opened up that her father was the ''father'' of her child.
The aunt challenged Johnson with what she had learnt from her niece, he admitted and threatened to eliminate her, his daughter and the infant if she continued to bother him about the issue.
The aunt immediately filed a police complaint against Johnson, he was arrested and subsequently arraigned before Magistrate Sule Amzat of the Ikeja Magistrate court.
In his defence, Johnson attributed his actions to the influence of alcohol, saying he was not in a clear state of mind when he committed the act.
He went further to state that he resulted to laying his daughter after the death of his wife, when he could not afford to marry a new wife.
Magistrate Amzat remanded the defendant to prison custody without a bail option, the case was adjourned till May 8, 2018 for further hearing.
