A middle aged woman, Evelyn Obamwonyi is currently cooling off at the Nigeria Police Headquarters,State CID, Edo State, over the murder of her neighbour/best friend, Juliet Ikhuoria In Benin City.
In a repeated confession before news men, the suspect admitted that her friend Juliet had borrowed her the sum of N 1,000 which she used to register at a micro finance organisation, in hope of getting a loan to expand her fish selling business.
The deceased however came to request a pay back of the money she borrowed Evelyn, on the day she was killed.
According to the suspect, she tried persuading the deceased that she had no money at that time, but she remained adamant. Insisting she was not leaving till she collects her N 1,000 from the suspect.
An argument ensued between both parties, the suspect stated, without thinking twice, she reached for the knife which she uses in her business to stab the deceased multiple times.

In her words '' when Juliet came to where i sell fish to ask for the money i owed her, i begged her that i don't have, but she said she was ready for me, she started fighting me, i reached for a knife, stabbed her twice on her neck and back, after which i rushed her to the hospital, where she died''.
She only realised the enormity of what she has done moments after killing Juliet. She however pleaded for forgiveness and asked that her identity be concealed.
The Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Biodun Osifo, told journalist that the incident will be thoroughly investigated and the suspect charged to court for murder.
He further advised members of the public to always control their temper in all their dealings.
Until her untimely death, Juliet Ikhuoria was a loving wife and a mother of 4 .
