Fake Female Lawyer Arrested After Practicing For 5 Years, Defrauding Unsuspecting Victims.


Beatrice Obiageli Nnamuoh of Iyiawu Village, Onitsha, Anambra State have been apprehended by security operatives for posing as a lawyer and defrauding unsuspecting victims thousands of Naira.


The 35-year-old bogus lawyer have been practising for a period upward of 5 years, before she ran out of luck.

Parading the suspect before newsmen, the Commissioner of Police, Imo state police command,  CP Chris Ezike, stated that  Obiageli was arrested at her resident in  Okporo Orlu, Imo State on February 1, after collecting over N 342,000.00 from members of the public, on the pretext of selling auction vehicles at a give-away price.



Upon police interrogation, Obiageli  confessed to being a fake lawyer, she never studied law, or attended the law school at anytime in her life.

She went further to say that she forged the letter headed papers bearing Basil C. Okereke – Seat of Wisdom Chambers No. 10 Orlu/Amakohia Road; which was among items recovered at her house .

Procuring a search warrant, police conducted a search at her resident and recovered an attorney's ensemble;  Gown, Wig, Collaret as well as Letter headed papers and case diaries.

Police are making arrangements to arraign the suspect in court in the earliest possible time, said Ezike.
