An elated mom shared her testimony on a whats app group; keeping faith, on how God finally smiled on her after enduring 14 miscarriages.

Encouraging members of her group, who are ''hopeful mothers''  not to give up, she narrated how she has been married for 12 years but has never experienced joy in her home.

She met her husband while studying Economics Education at the University of Benin in 2004. He had just returned from China and was visiting his younger sisters in their hall of residence.

He approached her at the car park, although she was in a relationship at that time with a fellow undergraduate from the department of Engineering, she did not hesitate to give her now husband, her name and room number.

He became a frequent sight in Hall 2; the female residence which she had a bed space. Things quickly progressed between them, he asked to meet her parents  within few months of meeting her, which she obliged. Her husband later traveled back to China, returned a year later to formally ask for her hand in marriage.

She there after broke up with her university boyfriend few weeks to her weeding, by this time, she was in her final year in the institution. She completed the remainder of her semester shuttling the Ugbor area of G.R.A. to the Uniben campus, on an SUV which was given to her by her husband as a wedding present.

Her husband decided to stay back in Nigeria with his wife, he continued his importation business, running it from Edo State.

The marriage brought him good luck, he expanded his business and purchased more properties around Edo State.

But there was no joy in the home, she was always lucky to get pregnant almost after every intercourse, but never lucky enough to hear the cry of a baby.

On the 3rd to 4th month, she looses the pregnancy.

On one occasion, a doctor  at one of the private hospitals in Benin City had placed her on bed rest immediately she realised she was pregnant, she was in the hospital for 2 months, she gained lots of weight from being idle and only allowed to walk within the hospital premises.

In the 3rd month, tragedy struck again, without any signs or contractions, the foetus fell out while she was taking a shower.

It was at this point she lost hope, she discussed adoption with her husband, but he wasn't going to cater for a child that wasn't biologically his.

They both left for US on vacation where she had an IVF, American doctors have assured her everything was going to be fine this time, they have secured her ''body''.

She was excited when she got to her second trimester, which was the longest she had ever carried a foetus at that time, she felt everything would be fine this time, they have prepared a nursery to welcome their son, shopped baby items as any expectant parents would likely do, only for her to fall into premature labour, she was lucky to be alive.

While all these where going on, my parents where running from one prayer house to another, some pastors told my mother it was my mother-in-law who was responsible for my predicaments, she did not want me to have a child for her son, she said.

After the failed IVF, she gave up on ever having children for her husband, but she wasn't ready to leave her husband, not after so many year of ''suffering'' with him, she said.

''I started going to parties, clubbing and hanging out all the time with my friends, as a way to forget my pains. I was buying myself lots of expensive jewelries and clothes, it made me feel better''.

I was surprised last year when i was at the gym, i got so weak, i collapsed, and was taken to the hospital, it was then, the doctor told my husband i was 4 months pregnant.

She didn't know she was pregnant, she wasn't paying attention to her menstrual cycle anymore, she normally misses period for months, she was used to not seeing the monthly ''soldiers''.

According to her, she did not bother about the pregnancy, she knew she would probably loose it again, she wasn't ready to raise her hopes and have it dashed, one more time.

She was reluctant to go for antenatal care, she only attended once or twice during her third trimester, while succumbing to pressure from her mother.

On February 12, 2018, God blessed her with twins, which was delivered naturally like the biblical Hebrew women.
