Nigerian Pastor Celebrates Birthday Using Bread And Butter

Nigerian clerics are known for their flamboyant lifestyle, donning designer outfits and flaunting state of the art automobiles.

In an unimaginable twist, a clergy man, identified as Apostle Israel Macjoseph Ajinomoh, of the Kingpriest International Church, Yenagoa, marked his birthday, yesterday March 14, 2018 in an unlikely way.

Rather than throw a lavish reception, bring in comedians to crack classic jokes, the cleric celebrated the occasion with a few loaves of bread, butter and drinks.
When contacted by STB team, the cleric explained, the church could afford to throw a birthday bash, but would rather focus on activities that would positively impact the lives of the less privileged in the society.

Pastor Mac laied emphasis on why collections made in churches should not be used to fund a exuberant  lifestyle.

''you can cut bread, just as you can cut cake, a pastor should not use church money for hisnbirthday'', he said.

Since pictures of the peculiar birthday celebration surfaced online, the cleric have been commended by many, making comparisons with his counterparts who throw carnival-like parties to mark their birthdays.
