The victim, identified as Fatima, was said to be at the University of Maiduguri car park waiting to board a tricycle (keke napep) when the assailants attacked her, whisking her off the university area.
She was thereafter dumped by the road side, where she was discovered and rushed to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital, UMTH, female surgical ward, where she is currently battling for her life.
Friends of the victim took to social media, soliciting prayers for Fatima's quick recovery.
