Two pupils of the St. John’s Anglican Primary School, Agodo, Ogun Waterside Local Government Area of Ogun state, were on Monday 12, March, 2018, hacked to death by a mad man.
The mentally ill patient, identified as Lekan Adebisi, stormed the school premises and violently struck the victims, till they became unconscious and subsequently dead as a result of severe injuries.
The unfortunate incident which is reported to have occurred while the pupils were observing their lunch break, created a sad scene at the school and threw the community into mourning.
Lekan who is well known by members of the community was said to have fled the scene after committing the gruesome murder.
Confirming the sad incident to reporters, the Ogun state Police Command Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, explained that the victims were 4-year-old preschoolers, Mubarak Kalesowo, and Sunday Obituyi .
She went further to to explain that the command is making efforts to apprehend the insane murderer.
The school has been temporarily shut down until normalcy is restored in the region.
