Newly Wed Man Dies In Fatal Accident Along Lekki Road, While Driving To The Venue Of His Wedding Reception

There was pandemonium yesterday,  March 18, 2018  at the Jakande ist gate at Lekki road, Lagos State,  following a fatal motor accident that claimed the life of not less than two persons.



The accident occurred when a Toyota Camry car ran into a Sienna conveying the groom, groomsman, bride and  flower girls.
As at the time reporters got to the scene, it was not yet ascertained the number of persons who may have lost their lives.

The groomsman was confirmed dead at the scene, while the groom was seen bleeding profusely with his head smashed on the steering wheel. All efforts to open the door and rescue the groom proved abortive.

The visibly distressed bride was crying helplessly along with her flower girls, while other occupants of the vehicle sat confused by the roadside.


What a sad way to begin her marital journey, becoming a widow less than 24 hours of getting married. Wondering  how the family of the couple and other guest waiting for their arrival at the reception venue will take the sad news.
