Monday Ebor, who was laid off from the Power Holding Company Of Nigeria (PHCN), now Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) in 2009 has lost his life while attempting to perform an illegal re-connection.

According to online reports, the victim who is said to have been sacked from the then PHCN due to his involvement in fraudulent practises against the establishment.

On the day of his demise, Mr Ebor was said to have rented a ladder, climbed on high tension wires, diverting lines from one feeder to another, when suddenly power was restored to the area.
There was a loud bang, the victim was said to have died on the spot.
