Help Needed To Locate The Family Of This Accident Victim In Coma
The Lagos State Accident and Emergency Centre at the Old Toll Gate on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is reaching out to the general public to help locate the family of an unidentified accident victim.
The young lady assumed to be in her mid 20's was knocked down by a hit and run driver at the third Mainland Bride,Lagos,on 27 January 2018.
The unidentified woman who has been receiving treatment at the LSAE Centre,was rescued on the said day by officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service at about 1pm at the Adeniji end of the bridge.
The has remained unconscious and all efforts to reach her relatives have proved abortive.
The victim who is said to have sustained injuries to various parts of her body,including her head remains in coma, having a ring on her mid finger,suggesting she is either engaged or married.
When Punch reporters visited the hospital, they gathered that the lady who has lost awareness of her surroundings is unable to communicate with them,leaving them without information of her identity.
The hospital source as at the time of talking with the punch reporter stated that they have not been able to ascertain the complexity of her injuries,whether or not there has been brain damage due to the visible bruises on her scalp.
They believe she is not homeless and hope that her family will show up when her photograph is made public.
