It was an unfortunate event in Ogun State, today, when a truck belonging to Africa's richest man, and business tycoon, Aliko Dangote, crushed three students to death, at Oru Ijebu.
This is not the first time, Dangote truck drivers have been involved in an incident such as this. No one ever hears of the outcome; if families of the victims are ever compensated, or justice being served.
The news of this latest ''Dangote accident'' was shared by Facebook user, Bayodele Kolawole Plato;
''A truck that belong to Dangote, the most richest man in Africa crushed to death one man, and 3 students of Itamarin at Ajebo, Oru Ijebu early morning today. Very disheartening''
In 2017, over 50 deaths were linked to accidents caused by drivers of the Dangote truck. And it seems this continues to rise, owning to the fact that drivers are being shielded by the company and usually not accountable for most of the road accidents which they cause.
In 2017, 6 people where killed along the Abuja-Lokoja express way by a Dangote driver who was said to have been partially asleep. In January of the same year, another Dangote truck driver claimed many lives along the Benin-Ijebu ode express road, due to over speeding.
As the road accident caused by Dangote truck continues to be on the increase, this suggest that the company is not taking any measure to curtail the problem. What else could possibly be the cause of these incessant tragedy linked to the company?.
