The mother-in-law of the Benin Monarch Oba Ewuare N’Ogidigan 11 has been gruesomely murdered in Edo State
She was killed by unidentified gun men in her home on the 13th of August 2017 at Isiuwa street, Oka quaters, Upper Sokponba, Benin City, Edo State.
According to Neighbors, the queen's mother was awaiting a visit from her daughter when she heard
a knock on the door, on opening the door, she was attacked by gun men ,shot three times.
Neighbors says they heard her cry out for help ''please don't kill me, please, don't kill me''. in Edo language.
Late Madam Igiose Itohan, is survived by two children among whom is an Olori (wife of the Oba of Benin Kingdom)
Our source stated that there is quietness in the palace as no one is allowed to talk about the death.
It has been made forbidden to discuss the death of the mother of the estranged wife of the Oba, Queen Imariabe Ewuare!
It should be recalled that the Oba of Benin; HRH Oba Ewuare is having problems in his marriage with the said Queen whose mother was murdered.
Queen Imariabe Ewuare had previously made some damning allegations against her estranged husband, Oba Ewuare of Benin Kingdom, threatening to reveal evidence of his alleged brutality, sexual abuse corruption, child marriage and other allegations too heavy to mention.

Arrest is yet to be made, but the police claims to be conducting an investigation to find the culprit.

officers to catch the culprit, what is the brigade doing? The queen is the mother of all Edo people. She has given me permission to talk about the death of her mother''
