A Child has been left with life threatening injuries after being attacked by their landlord's dog in Egbeda axis of Lagos State.
The 7-year-old identified as Chidera Joseph was bitten several times by the dog and is currently fighting for his life in an Egbeda hospital.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening in their home which consist of a twin bungalow occupied by the landlord and Chidera's family.
The dog found it's way to the part occupied by the the Chidera's.
According to reports we gathered, the dog stays in the Landlord, Deacon Mathews apartment and is restrained by a gate separating the Chidera's and the Landlord's apartment.
Neighbours says Joseph was attacked when the gate was left opened and the dog found it's way out and attacked the little boy.Joseph was already severely injured before neighbours could rescue and rush him to a nearby hospital.
The matter has been handed over to the police and a child protection service has been involved to
make sure Joseph is given adequate treatment and cost borne by the Landlord.
Joseph's father is quoted to have said ''i am not interested in police case, i just want my son back on his feet''.
