16 persons have been killed with 82 others left with life threatening injuries following a suicide bomber hit in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno state.
The Police Commissioner, Mr Damian Chukwu, confirmedthe incident in a message to press men, that the attack occurred in a popular Borno market on Wednesday at about 5:30pm.
This is coming up after 12 people where killed in a separate attack on Tuesday.
Mr Chukwu informed press men that two suicide bombers, a male and a female detonated a bomb, blowing up themselves and several others in the busiest part of the market.
82 of the injured victims have been taken to the specialist hospital Maiduguri while families have been contacted to identify if they have any relative who could possible be among the dead.
The Commissioner further added that EOD has been deployed to sanitize the area
