It is said that Anyeva who traveled to India on a 15-day tourist visa and living illegally in India connived with 35-year-old India man Jagadish Kumar to purchase sim cards registered with copied addresses.

Bengaluru Cyber Crime Police of India arrested Anyeva on the offence of committing card fraud by posting ads on a declassified ads site OLX.
He is said to have copied photos of luxury cars from several sources, advertised them for sale and when contacted by potential buyers, asked for an upfront fee.
According to the Indiatimes, Augustine and his gang of fraudsters targeted shopping malls and hotel parking lot.
They would pose on the trunk and bonnet of the cars taking pictures which would later be placed on the ad site.
He would deceive prospective clients he was an international student who just graduated and about to travel to his home country, offering to sell the vehicles at a considerably lower price.
The buyers will wire an advance fee to him upon request, after which he would remove the ad and deactivate his phone line.
Several bank accounts were also linked to Mr Anyeva where the prospective buyers had transfer part payment for the vehicles and the money immediately debited by Anyeva.
