They say a broken relationship is better than a broken marriage. This premise is not entirely accurate, as in the case of a young bride who was ditched by her partner on their way to the wedding ceremony.
According to stories making headlines on entertainment news, a young man named Emmanuel called off his wedding after reading a conversation between his bride and her ex lover.
The couple had dated for 10 months and was engaged 4 months into their relationship.
Emmanuel is a car spare parts dealer while his bride is currently unemployed.
It is said that Emmanuel rented and equipped a fashion house for his bride, which she was supposed to start operating after their wedding.
Unbeknownst to Emmanuel, his bride was still in love with her ex boyfriend who worked as a mechanic apprentices.
Emmanuel got wind of the relationship when he bought an iPhone for his bride to be. He had mistakenly picked up her phone instead of his.
A call from a particular number kept calling in which he repeatedly declined, only to get a text message that reads “ do the yeye marriage quick make you come see me tomorrow. I don miss you taya. I nor fit wait make you start your new shop make we for dey see everyday. I love you forever”.
Furious Emmanuel didn’t wait to question his bride about the text. He phoned his family members who were already in church that the marriage has been called off.
He asked his best man who was driving to turn back home that he was no longer interested in getting married.
Some relatives who were in church and have been informed about Emmanuel’s decision called his bride to tell her what was going .
The bride while rushing to Emmanuel’ house saw him on the sidewalk, got on her knees asking for forgiveness but he didn’t accept. Passersby were attracted to the scene when they saw a young woman on a wedding dress, crying and pleading with Emmanuel.
Despite the intervention of the public, Emmanuel refused to continue the wedding ceremony, instead went for a drink at a bat.
