Meet The Edo Indigenes Who Died In An Auto Crash, 24 Hours After Arriving Nigeria From Spain.


It was a sad day for the family members of Priscilla (the bride to be) and staffs of Iyare Motors, after their Toyota Hiace bus collided head on with a Mack diesel truck.


The occupants of the hiace bus who are mostly from Ugo niyeke, Orhiomwon Local Government area of Edo State, residing in Spain, landed Nigeria less than 48 hours before the accident.

One of the male victims, identified as Sunny had informed friends he was only staying in Nigeria for three weeks to attend a traditional marriage ceremony.

The second male victim who was seated at the front seat with the bus driver is identified as Paul.


The accident which occurred at about 8:30 am at the Lagos- Ibadan expressway, claimed the lives of 80% the passengers, including the driver.

Eyewitness who recounted the event to FRSC, attributed the accident to over speeding and carelessness on the part of the commercial bus driver.

The remains of the victims were deposited  at the morgue of the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital , Sagamu. 
Two others rescued alive are in critical condition but responding to treatment at OOUTH.
