President Tinubu In Netherlands On The Invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte

 


Nigeria’s president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is in the kingdom of Netherlands for a state visit, on the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Rutte.

Tinubu is said to be in the European country to explore trade and investment opportunities, as well as issues bothering on security cooperation of both countries.

The move by the two country leaders will foster international diplomacy. The president’s visit marks a pivotal moment in bilateral relations between the federal republic of Nigeria and the Kingdom of Netherlands.

Highlighting the importance of  Tinubu’s schedule of activities during his stay in the Netherlands, presidential spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, said that the program includes high-profiled close door meetings with top Dutch government officials, business leaders, and distinguished figures, including the King of Netherlands; King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Maxima, his wife.


“President Tinubu’s visit aims to strengthen ties and explore opportunities in trade, investment, security cooperation, and cultural exchange,” Ngelale mentioned in a media briefing.

Adding that the multifaceted nature of the discussions planned during the visit will cover various issues beneficial to Nigeria and the Netherlands.

Queen Maxima of the Kingdom of Netherlands serves as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development (UNSGSA).

As part of his state visit to the Netherlands, President Tinubu will attend the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum that will bring together heads of governments.

President Tinubu who left the Federal Capital Territory, on Tuesday, 23 April is scheduled to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) on 28-29 April, in Saudi Arabia upon departure from the Netherlands.
