Palm Oil is a red edible vegetable oil extracted from the mesocarp of a Palm fruit.
It is an edible and nutrient dense component of the Palm tree.
This high calorie food contains an unhealthy amount of saturated fats. Despite its high levels of total fat, Palm Oil is the most widely consumed vegetable oils.
The Palm Oil tree only grows in tropics and it’s used not only for cooking but for manufacturing purposes.
Traditionalists say the Palm Oil is a favorite for the gods when presented as offerings.
Practitioners of traditional religion and worshippers often make a mix of crushed yams doused in Palm oil placed in little calabash as sacrificial offerings to their gods.
See what happens when a TMO reader placed a bowl of palm oil in the corner of her room.
“Dear editor, I saw your post about people putting money in a mortal when traveling, so I decided to share my story with you as well. I am very spiritually inclined and I personally use my intuition to make decisions based on what I think would be beneficial to me in the long run. As per the money in mortal thing, you are very right. I do it also when traveling to a long distance from home”.
“You see this palm oil that everyone have lying around in their kitchen, it is very useful. More important than being used just for cooking. It is a very powerful tool in the spiritual realm and even the physical world”.
“I just graduated and was went for my NYSC, where I posted to a remote village in Jos as my primary place of assignment. I rented a self contained room in a passage house, where I had to share kitchen with 3 other people”.
“There was a particular girl who also lived in the building where I rented. She was very beautiful, tall and light skinned. A very friendly girl who was soft spoken and polite to everyone in the building. But there was something off about her. My spirit just didn’t agree with her. Something didn’t seem right with the way she tries to be liked by everyone around and how she looks deeply into someone’s eyes”.
“I had a dream where I saw snakes moving around the kitchen as if holding a meeting , after everyone else was done cooking. I knew what that meant. It was either an enemy was living in the building or there was someone who is probably possessed by the spirit of a snake”.
“To get the culprit I poured a considerable amount of palm oil in a bowl and left it on the kitchen floor after I was done cooking. I made sure I was the last person to use the kitchen that day. When I woke up in the morning I went to the kitchen and noticed that the palm oil was all GONE!”.
“I was right, there was someone possessed in the building who possibly metamorphosed into a snake and then a human”.
“I repeated the same thing over a couple of days, and each time the palm oil was gone”.
“I needed to know who the snake was, so I mixed red cloth dye which is used in making adire textile with the palm oil and left it on the kitchen floor, and as usual it was all gone the next morning”.
“I immediately started knocking from door to door pretending to call for a neighbor welfare meeting. I got to the her door, knocked and knocked for more than 15 minutes. When she would finally open the door, I could see her mouth covered in red dye. The exact dye which I bought and mixed with the palm oil. I invited her for the meeting and asked her what happened to her mouth that’s stained with dark reddish color. She claimed she was having an allergic reaction to something she ate the previous day. Then I asked sarcastically, could that thing be palm oil? She frowned like she was responding to a bad joke”.
“Two days later she moved out of the building, her rent had not expired neither was she given a quite notice by the house owner”.
“Apparently, she knew she has been exposed and had to quickly move out before everyone else know what she is”.
