There was commotion on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Okhokhugbo community, Egor Local Government Area of Edo State, when one Pastor Elvis of a a popular church in Benin City was paraded by angry youths over his illicit affair with a middle aged woman, simply identified as Mama Favour.
The Story Teller Blog gathered that Mama Favour, an indigene of Bini is happily married to a Europe based Edo man, with the duo blessed with four children.
Her husband had done all in his power to make his family comfortable, relocating them from a rented apartment into a modest 3 bedroom bungalow which he built in the community.
According to the confession of the pastor, his illicit affair with Mama Favour started while she was a member of his church. He claimed he was lured into the relationship by the deceased.
Trouble however broke out when the wife of Pastor Elvis got wind of the affair, and threatened to expose the clergy and his mistress.
''i and my wife fought over the matter, and i got dismissed from the church because i was married and dating my church member '' Elvis said.
Mama Favour is said to have invited Pastor Elvis to move into one of the rooms in her flat, since he has been thrown out of his home and had no where to stay.
Elvis has only lived in the house for 3 months when the married mother of 4 realised she was carrying his baby. The pregnancy could not be pinned on her husband who lives abroad and the Pastor was not ready to take responsibility of the seed of their act.
Pastor Elvis claimed, Mama Favour tried to get rid of the pregnancy on her own and had run into complications, he tried to rush her to the hospital, where she gave up few hours later.
Angry youths and relatives of the deceased upon hearing what had befallen their sister, stormed the flat which the couple shared, quizzing Pastor Elvis to confess to all his crimes.
The elder brother to the husband of the deceased asked that the bride price paid on Mama Favour be refunded by her family, Elvis was now to marry her and take responsibility for her burial.
