Nollywood alumni, screen diva and producer per excellence, Genevieve Nnaji turns 45 today, May 3, 2024.
The beautiful actress was a part of the childhood of many Nigerian children, bringing families together to watch and enjoy her acting prowess on TV screens.
Geny, as she’s fondly called, was Born May 3, 1979 in Mbaise, Imo State, Nigeria.
Raised in a lower middle class household by an Engineer father and mother who worked as a nursery school teacher, the family struggled to stay afloat.
Being the 4th sibling in a family of 10 ( 8 children, including father and mother) made the life of Geny less difficult, as she always got hand downs from her older siblings while growing up.
She graduated from the University of Lagos, where she bagged a bachelors degree in creative arts.
The star actress ventured into the movie industry in 1987, progressing into a director, and producer.
She has featured in more than a hundred movies, directed and produced more.
The award winning actress and producer started acting at the age of 8, with her first appearance being in the movie; Ripples.
Geny doubles as a model, actress, business woman and real estate developer.
