Born November 11, 1980 in a remote area part of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, Tobi Adegboyega never dreamed of being a billionaire televangelist who would later be recognized by the British monarchy.
Tobi started his education in Ibadan, before furthering to the Ogun State University for his higher education.
In 2005, Tobi relocated from Nigeria till London, United Kingdom where he was unable to afford rent and resulted to sharing a room with his cousin, British actor; John Boyega, who later became very successful in his acting career.

Working as a Kitchen porter in the UK, Tobi nursed the idea of setting up a religious gathering that would cater for both the spiritual and social wellbeing of people.
In 2008, barely 3 years of arriving in the United Kingdom, Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church (SPAC Nation) was established.
Based in London, the church was rocked by several bouts of controversy.
A church which would later be coined and referred to as NXTION.
SPAC National which started with only three members now has thousands of NXTION family worshippers who attends the weekly service on ground and virtually.
Just before the defunct SPAC Nation became NXTION, Tobi stepped down from the helm of affairs, ultimately handing over to his assistant; Pastor Samuel Akokhia.
Through the years, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega and his SPAC Nation has faced several controversies; from financial exploitation of members , to fraud, misappropriation, domestic abuse, sexual abuse and adultery.
In 2020 , A BBC Panorama investigation accused Tobi Adegboyega and other leaders of the church of financial mismanagement.
In June 2022, SPAC Nation church was reportedly shut down by the UK government after failing to properly account for more than £1.87 million of outgoings and operating with a lack of transparency.

In 2019, Adegboyega announced to a news website in Nigeria "his readiness to fight poverty among youths in Lagos State with creation of jobs through the waste management business", indicating his intent to "create thousands of jobs within 24 months in Lagos by investing money in generating over 54 million tons of waste in the state.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Tobi Adegboyega reportedly distributed relief materials to populated areas in Nigeria, Ghana and Tanzania.
