Cyber Bullying: Europe Based Nigerian Woman Drags Compatriots To Court Over Character Defamation

A Europe based Nigerian woman, Mrs Itohan Ikponmwonsa Douglas has dragged three Nigerians to court over character assassination.

The defendants; Mr Oghogho Erhabor, who goes by the name Ajebor , Mrs Vivian Erhabor both based in Germany and Mr Osemwengie Idiagbonya, alias Atiti, resident in Spain and Mr Isaac Erhabor are being issued a civil lawsuit to the tune of 552,500,000 Naira for Cyber bullying and character defamation of Mrs Douglas on their social media platforms.

The case which was heard at the Okada high court, Ovia Northeast local government area of Edo State, Nigeria , was presided over by Hon Justice AT.

Mrs Douglas is seeking redress for alleged property conversion and defamation of her character by the defendants.

Mr Oghogho Erhabor 

Counsel to the claimant, Barrister Nosa Adams ,informed the court that his client has been traumatised as a result of the incessant cyber stalking and use of derogatory remarks used by the defendants in tainting her reputation.

The cases brought against the first and second defendants; Mr Oghogho Erhabor and Mr Isaac Erhabor includes:

Illegal conversion of property , Cyberbullying, Cyberstalking as well as defamation of character.

Counsel to the claimant is asking the court to order the said defendants to issue an unreserved apology on all social media platforms for calling her a prostitute , adulterous woman and other defamatory remarks.

The defendants are also to make a payment of 552,500,000 Naira to the claimant for illegal conversion of her property, property damage, general damage, scandalous damage, among others.

In a similar vein, a criminal case against the second defendant, Mr Isaac Erhabor at the Ekiadolor magistrate court is ongoing.
