Real Story Of The Orange Seller Who Was Used For Money Rituals

There is a trending story in TikTok and Facebook of an Orange seller who is said to have been used for money rituals.

According to the viral post on various social media platforms, the victim is from Imo State, Nigeria. She is said to have lost her mother at the age of nine and was left to assist her father in catering for her younger siblings.

Her father who works as a bricklayer often goes on weeks without jobs, this made life difficult for him and his 5 children.

His eldest daughter was said to have dropped out of school after the demise of her mother to sell Oranges to support the family; which was the profession of her mother until she passed away.

The family was well known in their community and often got little assistance from friends and relatives.

It is said that one day, the victim had gone to sell Oranges in the evening, but never returned.

The family and community at large searched for her without success. ( It happened on a weekend). Only for her remains to be discovered at a nearby primary school on a Monday morning.

Her eyes and private areas were removed before her remains were discovered.

The incident threw the community into mourning. The primary school was subsequently closed down, as that was not the first time criminals have used the deserted school as a hideout.

To commemorate the death of the girl, she was immortalized on the exact spot her body was first discovered.

The community thereafter set up vigilante groups to protect the area.
