Dubai Under Water: UAE Receives It’s Fair Share Of Flooding

Actual image

Dubai, a seemingly blessed and prosperous city has suddenly become an object of pittance.
Nature has a way of making things happen for us all in unprecedented ways.

Why has the technologically advanced United Arab Emirates suddenly gone under water?

When rainfall exceeds the capacity of the soil to absorb it or the drainage system to handle it, water accumulates, leading to flooding.

Additionally, changes in land use, such as paving over natural surfaces, can exacerbate flooding by reducing the area where water can be absorbed.

Climate change also plays a significant role, increasing the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, including heavy rainfall and storms, which contribute to flooding.

In all these factors that trigger flooding, the UAE is developed and well equipped with mechanisms that can tackle flooding.
