Nigeria’s most successful stand up comedian; Bright Okpocha took fans by surprise when he announced in December 2022, through his social media accounts that his marriage with Elsie Okpocha had ended.
Basketmouth as he is addressed, stated that the separation was amicable and urged fans to respect the privacy of his family.
His wife, Elsie made no mention about the separation and carried on influencing for brands she represents on social media.
Two years down the line, people close to the couple are whispering to each other about what transpired in the marriage that led to separation.
It is alleged that both parties were involved in extramarital affairs.
Allegedly , Basketmouth is said to have fathered a child with his UK based mistress. Upon hearing the news of the product of his unfaithfulness, Elsie decided to pay back in his own coin.
It’s alleged that Elsie began a relationship with a wealthy CEO, whose company she has worked for.
As a traditional man, Bright Okpocha could not accept any form of infidelity and therefore separated from Elsie.
