Edet Ayiasi has been arrested for killing his childhood friend, Frank Ohiozua out of jealously!
The deceased, a popular keyboardist, who is said to have worked with many Nigerian musicians was gifted a car by his elder brother. It was to be used to generate revenue as an Uber. Elated Ohiozua was said to have shared his joy with his childhood friend who later conspired with two others to have the deceased abducted.
Frank was abducted and driven to an isolated area in Idiroko, Ogun State, January 2019, where he was hacked to death.
Ayiasi thereafter took possession of Ohiozua's car, gave it out to a driver for commercial transportation while informing mutual friends, Ohiozua had sold the vehicle and journeyed abroad with the proceeds.
Ayiasi went further to contact Franks Ohiozua's elder brother, demanding a ransom for the release of the deceased- not knowing his younger brother had been killed, he played along, requesting a bank account number to pay the ransom.

Ayiasi later turned himself in when authorities traced the bank account number to his wife and she was arrested at Oreyo Igbogbo, Ikorodu, Lagos State, alongside Ayiasi's father.
The suspect confessed to have committed the crime out of jealousy and claimed he felt sad and ashamed for what he has done.
