As the Nigerian government is fighting without success to end the menace of cultism in Nigeria, some members of the dreaded Vikings cult group have been arrested in Malaysia for inflicting life threatening injuries on a member of a rival group.
The victim, simply identified as Ratty, is said to be a member of the Black Axe cult, often referred to as Aye.
Many lives have been lost in the ongoing cult war between the Vikings and Black Axe.
The Story Teller Blog gathered that members of the Vikings group were seeking to murder any member of the rival cult in a bid to send a message across; that they were winning the battle.
They are said to have stormed the home of Ratty, stabbing him multiple times, ripping out his intestines, after which they fled the scene of the crime.
They were however apprehended by the Malaysian security operatives on Monday, 13 August, 2018 and taken into custody in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The victim is said to be recuperating, responding to treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
In a similar vein, not less than 3 deaths have been recorded in the city of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria in the cult war between the Black Axe and Vikings. Where a commercial bus driver was brutally murdered at his home in the early hours of Sunday, 12 August 2018.
The deceased, a married father of 2 is reported to have been returning from a bar where he spent the night with his friends, when he was attacked by unknown assailants, beaten to death with what authorities believed to be a battle axe.
Despite the recent decree by the Oba of Benin Kingdom, that youths of the State desist from cult related activities, it seems the menace of cultism cannot be totally eradicated.
