A Nigerian student and one other in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus were yesterday detained and paraded before pressmen for allegedly attempting to steal alcohol from an off -licence in the country.

The duo identified as Henry Kurai Chirima and Tawanda Kudzai were said to have been arrested at the Nicosia district where Henry works as a sales person at a popular open market.

Sequel to their apprehension, Henry is alleged to have been caught red handed stealing alcoholic beverages at the open market where he works, he was subsequently laid off, only to recruit his friend Tawanda who then accompanied him on another alcoholic beverage theft mission.
