Politics, or if you like ''poliTRICKS'' is indeed a dirty game! A field where life has little meaning, where there are no permanent friends or foe. A competitive activity meant for only the ruthless and strong at heart. And in Nigeria, the money game ! where ''some'' plays for the money.
It's no news that the ex governor of Edo State cum APC National chairman is at logger heads with his successor, Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State. We can't say for sure what the power tussle is all about, but unconfirmed reports (as alleged by Albert Obazee) are that the later has refused to continually be the puppet of his predecessor, with the erstwhile Governor still calling shots after years of vacating the number one position in the State.
It should be recalled that Adams Oshiomole was the mastermind of Godwin Obaseki clinching the APC ticket during the primaries and subsequently becoming Governor after defeating Osagie Ize Iyamu of the PDP, who happened to be Oshiomole's secretary but decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, when he ''allegedly'' realised Oshiomole already had a successor in mind.
During the Obaseki campaign, spear headed by Adams Oshiomole, one of the several ''youth mobilizers'' which veered the party to victory is one, Albert Obazee, with a high social media presence intensively publicised the Governor, then aspirant.
Well, the tables have turned, as the former associate and alleged ''political son'' of Adams Oshiomole has taken to his social media pages to allege that the ex Governor had sent assassins to his home in Benin City, to eliminate him.
He went further to claim that he his life was spared only because he was not at his home as at the time the assassins stormed his residence, shooting sporadically.
Mr Albert Obazee in his video made available on his social media pages alleged, the ex governor is after his life because he remains loyal to the incumbent governor, despite being a follower of Oshiomole and being recruited by the ex governor to support Obaseki during the gubernatorial elections.
